About Chris
Some random info about me:
Pets? We’ve a spoilt cat called Mollie and 5 sneaky hens that are regularly escaping the run and nibbling Diann’s flowers, but their fresh eggs are class.
TV Programme? I rarely watch TV but when I do it’s usually whatever crime or period dramas Diann’s watching. I am however a big fan of a few YouTube creators @BeauMiles @colinfurze @simonegiertz
Beverage? Americano or very milky tea (I put this down to growing up on a dairy farm). I’m also partial to an occasional wee nip of Jameson.
Pastime? I have a love/hate relationship with DIY, I love making and fixing things but always make things worse and break stuff so the whole process always takes much longer than anticipated, but seeing the end result is always satisfying.
Game? I LOVE board games! (7 Wonders, Catan, Dominion, Coup etc…At last count we own over 70!) however the 2 biggest arguments I’ve had with my wife Diann were over Monopoly and Risk.
Sweets? I don’t really eat sweets, but I can’t say no to cake, biscuits, wee buns, jam scones, or my absolute fav chocolate eclairs!
Celeb? Ray Mears is my hero. I love campfires and cooking outdoors. I’m planning on grow some veg again this year, and maybe even convince the kids to eat some of it….
Career backstory
Growing up on a farm near Limavady was amazing, but I was always encouraged to pursue my own passions.
With a degree in Multimedia under my belt I spent a year in Canada working as a photographer on the ski slopes and teaching kids to make videos at camp Quanoes on Vancouver Island.
On returning to Northern Ireland in 2006, I began to film and photograph friends’ weddings whilst also shooting in a busy portrait photography studio in Belfast until 2008 when my own engaged couples became my sole focus.
I’ve photographed over 600 weddings and I still absolutely love it! I can’t imagine wanting to do anything else.
“We are absolutely blown away by what you have given us. From only one brief telephone conversation and a few Facebook chats you had it all sussed out, particularly our demands for "album cover shots" which exceeded all expectations. Thank you for making us look so cool in those ones, it's not easy! ”
