On a showery summer's day in 2023 I photographed Aanika and Kamiar's vibrant Indian wedding at Ballyscullion Park in Bellaghy, and let me tell you, it was a day to remember. From the moment the groom and his family arrived in a cloud of colored smoke with Dhol drummers in tow, I knew this was going to be an incredible event to capture.

The traditional Indian wedding ceremony took place in the covered strawberry garden at Ballyscullion, providing a stunning backdrop for the couple to exchange their vows. The colorful decorations and beautiful attire worn by everyone in attendance made for some fun photographic opportunities.

As I moved around the venue, capturing candid moments and posed portraits, I couldn't help but be in awe of the energy and excitement that filled the air. The guests were all in high spirits, enjoying the celebration and partaking in the delicious Indian food that was served throughout the day.

Similar to other Indian weddings I've covered there was so much happening at once, from the traditional rituals to the energetic dance floor, and I wanted to make sure I didn't miss a single moment.

The magic of a Ballyscullion wedding is the setting! The walled garden is a sheltered area with some amazing plants trees and flowers, Perfect for photos!
The style at this wedding was unbelievable and many of the guests had 2nd outfits.

There were so many memorable moments that made the day truly special. From the nervous energy from the couple at the very start of the day to joy and laughter shared between the couple during their first dance to the heartfelt speeches given by family and friends, every moment was filled with love and happiness.

Venue: Ballyscullion park
The 3 big draws for Ballyscullion park are:
1. The personal customer service you get from Rosalind and her team there is invaluable.
2. The venue itself is stunning. So good for photos and a real treat for your guests to experience.
3. The food! This wedding had specialist Indian caterers, but Ballyscullion's wedding partner Artbus do an amazing job.
